Oil On Mars
by Bucktowndusty
After up-heaving from watching 10 minutes of political news coverage of political candidates up-heaving themselves upon us and each other, I decided to switch the television to the NASA channel. What I saw was amazing and refreshing – people actually accomplishing goals that I as an American can be proud of (How about you, Michelle Obama?).
NASA landed a spaceship on Mars and will study and explore the polar region for water, among other fascinating experiments.
While watching this positive bit of programming, I couldn't help but switch back in my mind to political crap and current events and ask myself, "What would happen if NASA found oil on Mars?"
Think about that. If NASA found out that there was a massive oil reserve on Mars that could provide Earth and its ever growing population with oil to last several centuries, how long do you think it would take for some liberal to protest that we not drill for any, least we pollute an innocent and uninhabitable planet?
How many "Save Mars" bumper stickers would we see next to the "Save Tibet" ones on hybrids and 20-year-old jalopies fueled by French fry oil?
How many libs would protest that America, and big oil, had an unfair advantage by being able to send more spaceships to Mars to collect a disproportionate about of oil?
How many people would protest that we were spending too much money on Mars instead of on schools?
Lastly, I thought that whatever the outcome of such a scenario, an absolute certainty would be that governments would tax this new fuel source so much that big oil companies would have to share rides back and forth from Mars to save money on gas (despite the ironic bumper sticker on the back of the spaceship stating "This ship fueled by government waste").

Double Your Salary By Looking Down Your Nose
by A. Hamilton
In the 1990s, when the Clintons were in command of the White House, I predicted this country would realize the harm they had caused the United States for decades to come. So, for this reason I hoped H. Obama would beat H. Clinton in the Democrat primaries. Since then, I realize that H. Clinton would, in fact, be a better president than H. Obama.
I wondered why H. Obama flew the banner of "Change" so forcibly. A hint to the answer came when his Pastor for twenty years, Reverend Wright, who was overcome by spot-lightis, flashed into H. Obama's campaign.
Things started to come to light for me when H. Obama's wife, Michelle, unconsciously leaked her venomous attitude towards America saying, "For the first time in my adult life, I am proud to be American."
For the first time?
This, from a person whose salary more than doubled from just over $100 thousands/yr. to well over $3oo thousands/yr, because her husband was made a state senator. One can only assume her angry attitude towards American is implanted from listening to Rev. Wright's bullshit for twenty years. Surprisingly, H. Obama sat in the same pew for the same number of years oblivious to the brain washing.
Since than I have listened more closely to H. Obama's pleas for "Change", and I realize that the "Change" he wants falls more in line with his wife and Rev. Wright's corrosive views towards America and whites, a "Change" personified by his Benito Mussolini chin in the air, while looking down his nose at the rest of America. His gaffes are even more telling.
If John McCain made the gaffes that H. Obama has made this past year, the main stream media would have tagged him senile.
One thing is for sure. H.Obama has said that he wants to "Change" what's broken in Washington.
This would create a paradox, because H. Obama, H. Clinton, McCain and all the rest of the Congressmen and Senators ARE what's broken in Washington. Meaning, he would have to mend himself.
