The Big Government Diet
by Bucktowndusty
We place budgetary constraints on our government. We tell it, "Live within means – enough only to serve and protect."
If it can prove it needs more money to serve and protect better, then we can begrudgingly accept expansions. But, recent proposals from state legislatures nationwide to release thousands of dangerous prisoners into the public to "save money" proves big government is a treacherous behemoth that neither serves nor protects anything other than it's own ever expanding ass line.
Think about it. To serve and protect is its only mandate. How about ordering these thousands of prisoners to murder one innocent citizen each when they get out? Just think of the costs saving!
Each year, state and federal governments profess a need for more money for this urgent need or that. Each year, we give more and more of our money and freedom away to bureaucracies that are more and more unrepresentative and unresponsive. Ever try to contact your representatives? Those form letter responses are about as intimate and personable as a hand job with a Brillo Pad.
No, I'm afraid the gig is up. This latest treachery is yet another example that our government is a direct danger to us all. It's committing suicide in our names, and it doesn't care for our safety, our sovereignty, or whether communist China rules the next century as we fade into the backdrop.
We're well on our way to finding out what happens when a superpower nation falls off the wagon from a big government diet and it's not going to be a pretty – or a safe - site to see.

Stirring Up Anger
by A. Hamilton
Until now, I considered Al Gore to be Captain Shame for soliciting votes before a black, southern Baptist congregation. His convenient "preacheristically" guttural voice bashed Bush from Psalm to Psalm.
Now, Michael Pfleger, a Roman Catholic priest in Chicago, has taken to the pulpit to defend the Words of Jeremiah Wright and Louis Farrakhan.
Pfleger wailed his arms wildly like a standing epileptic denouncing those who criticized Wright's slenderest anti-American rage.
In his, almost guttural rage, Pfleger said, "Dr. Wright is one of the great biblical scholars of our country and the best of preachers in the prophetic tradition. Dr. Wright has been shamefully demonized in 30-second sound bites that have tried to redefine him into someone other than who he is." With this, Pfleger gyrated and flailed the air with biblical showmanship only equal to that of Moses parting the seas for retreating Jews.
However, during the Blessed Sacrament of the Altar, Pfleger calmed down. Otherwise, I'm sure that the Eucharist would have slammed to the backs of the mouths of the faithful like miniature wheaten Frisbees.
The very next day a Fox News reporter interviewed Pfleger. The reporter asked questions that required the same rhetoric Pfleger raged at the alter, only this time he spoke in a very subdues tone, wanted to rationalize as if to be sane.
Why were there two different Pflegers and Gores? My guess is that they believe black congregations are more easily riled then an inquiring press.
