Rush Limbaugh Failed Conservatism
by Bucktowndusty
Prior to the Texas primaries, Rush Limbaugh issued a Republican call to arms urging them to vote for Hillary, thus prolonging her campaign and the time span that she and Obama could sling mud at each other.
But, just as standing too close to a Seurat dot painting impairs the bigger picture, Rush got sucked too far into the two-party, one-upmanship, Republican-vs-Democrat cesspool that he squandered a great opportunity to promote conservatism instead.
Why didn't Rush urge Republican voters to vote for Huckabee instead of Hillary?
Why didn't he realize that by doing so, Huckabee could have won Texas, thus prolonging his campaign and the time span that conservative values could have occupied center stage with both Republican candidates trying to out-conservative each other?
Why didn't he realize that a revived Huckabee campaign and a renewed fight over the conservative mantel would have overshadowed everything, including the nonstop nauseating Hillary and Obama campaign coverage?
As a Conservative, the first thing one should try to conserve is Conservatism, right?
Sadly, Rush failed us, and he failed Conservatism 101.
And, so what if Obama and Hillary destroy each other. We now have a liberal-leaning conservative basher as the only remaining Republican candidate. We still have people who think "Republican = Conservative," which couldn't be further from the truth. We still have a Republican Party that steers away from Conservative values more and more each day.
As I wrote last week, America needs a Conservative Party.
As it stands now, Rush aborted Conservatism at its weakest and most vulnerable hour. He needs to redeem himself by promoting The Conservative Party and becoming its father.
Please, Rush. Make amends by re-loaning your "talent on loan from God" to this cause.

Four Eyes Are Better Tan Two
by A. Hamilton
In the 2000 Presidential election cycle, Democrats tried to steal the election by saying a relatively small number of voters in Florida were disenfranchised. It was so important to them that they took the issue to the Supreme Court of Florida and then to the Supreme Court of the United States. They lost.
In this year's 2008 Democrat Presidential primaries, the leader of the DNC, Ding-a-ling, Howard Dean, ruled that Michigan and Florida would not be allowed to vote for a Democrat hopeful because they had moved up the date of their primaries. This decision knowingly disenfranchising millions of voters from those states, and yet all of the presidential hopefuls agreed to it.
What a mess they have made of the primaries; and it will be the same sort of mess they will make of America if they are successful in trashing the White House again.
They act as though the question of who would win Michigan and Florida is between Obama and Clinton, but what about the rest of the hopefuls that were in the race from the beginning? Would they have made the outcome different? The problem they have created for themselves cannot be fixed. You can not un-ring a bell.
These ding-a-lings can't get themselves together, so how do they expect to bring the country together?
At this point the Clintons – and that includes their daughter, Chelsea – will do anything to gain personal power, including completely destroying the Democrat party.
With the knowledge that they can't win the primaries, Bill and Hillary have planted the notion in the brains of think-challenged Democrats that an "unbeatable ticket" would be that of the Clintons and Obama.
In this case, if the Clintons are carried as Vice Presidents and something prevented Obama from carrying out the duties of President, Hillary would snake through the back door into the Oval Office.
If this scenario comes to fruition, my advice to Obama is to grow eyes in the back of his head.
