The Fox News, Guillani/Tancredo Tally
by Bucktowndusty

Back in the 80’s, I remember the only conservative viewpoint on television coming from a lone, highly outnumbered conservative guest on the weekly 1-hour McLaughlin Group program on NBC. Then in 1996, millions of conservatives yelled, “Thank God for Fox News,” as the fair and balanced network gave a true forum to the conservative voice.

Yet, recent coverage of Republican candidates for the 2008 presidential race indicates that even Fox News can disappoint and misrepresent the conservative base.

Time and again I hear Rudy Guillani’s name. Fox News apparently thinks Rudy is the best chance for Republicans to win, even though Rudy really isn’t a conservative, and having Guillani win wouldn’t do anything for conservatism. Tom Tancredo, on the other hand, is a true conservative who champions conservative values and get’s little mention on the one network that should.

I think what’s going on is that the powers that be over at Fox News are conservative, but only in Moderation. Free trade and stock markets trump social conservative values, so Tancredo rubs them a bit harshly. But as I mentioned before, being fair and balanced doesn’t mean shit if what you’re balancing is a fair and balanced piece of shit. A treasonous Democrat one side of the truth scale and a slushy Republican on the other is a fair and balanced turd not worthy of our time or our vote. The truth is Tancredo is better than Guillani for conservative America.

So, from this day forward I plan on tallying up the number of times Guillani’s name is mentioned compared to the predictably low number of times Tancredo’s is. I’ll keep my tally on a sheet of paper next to my remote, which I’ll try my hardest not to use while exiting Fox News Channel in disgust.

My conservative estimate is that Guillani will get 20-times the mention as Tancredo, and when Tancredo fails to win the Republican nomination, America’s best chance to preserve conservative American values will go down with him in defeat.

I’ll hold Fox News personally responsible.

The First One Hundred Hours, Not Exactly The Big Bang
by A. Hamilton

“The first one hundred hours.” That’s what the Democrats said would be the most outstanding span of time in history after they took control of Congress; a span of time when they would transform Congress to be the most honest, morally cleansed, efficient group of good guys in United States history.

So far, the Democrats have passed the minimum wage hike to everyone except the Dole Company which happens to reside in Nancy Pelosi’s district.

Oops! I forgot. The queen of Speakers was caught with that little over-sight and she included Dole in the wage hike.

By the way, Pelosi just made Congressman Jefferson of Louisiana a member on the Homeland Security Committee in spite of the fact that the F.B.I. misplaced $90,000 in Jefferson’s freezer.

On another crucial front, the Democrats tried to pass a bill which would censor the artistic content on the mud flaps of semis and other trucks. This is the truth, so help me God.

Other than the above, they have accomplished absolutely nothing in their first one hundred hours except passing, in the House, a NON-binding resolution about the Iraq war that further vents their unending hatred for President Bush.

In all fairness to Pelosi and the Democratic party, they really only had about 10 hours to produce any meaningful legislation, because they spent the first 90 hours peeing in their pants with excited disbelief for successfully pulling the wool over the eyes of the American public.
