You’ve Got Mail!
by Bucktowndusty

Stealing mail from a mailbox (even junk mail regrettably) is punishable by up to 5 years in prison and a $250,000 fine – the rationale being an orderly society can’t function without faith in the federal government’s ability to secure its citizens’ private property. And, what’s more private than a person’s mail? With the disastrous affects of identity theft, too, the markets’ job of regulating financial stability, and the government’s job of tracking its citizens’ activities (mainly how much its people own it), becomes an increasingly difficult undertaking. Understanding this, it’s perfectly logical to accept the saying that, “the time fits the crime.”

However, introducing illegal immigration into this equation, it is as if our government and our financial institutions are turning a blind eye to their own laws and common sense.

The crime for illegal entry into America is up to 6 months in prison and a $250,000 fine (a mere 6 months, which our government hardly ever enforces anyway).

With financial theft and identity theft, the mailbox is the gateway, and this is why such a stiff penalty exists. With illegal immigration, though, a series of crimes take place, ultimately leading to the same outcome as mail theft, yet they receive an unofficial, “official” wink and a nod.

Illegal aliens obtain false documents and social security cards (identity theft). They use these false documents to illegally obtain work, housing, and public benefits (more identity theft). Ironically, the penalty for misusing social security numbers is up to 5 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Forging documents get up to 25 years in prison. Committing perjury related to filling out fraudulent federal tax forms gets up to 5 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. So, why does our government place the smallest penalty on illegal immigration - the one activity that initiates all the other crimes in the first place?

It’s simple; our government no longer cares.

Sadly, your $20 mailbox is more important that America’s borders. Ironically, if you buy a $30 mailbox with a lock, and it’s also more secure! Go figure!

Get Me To The Church On Time
by A. Hamilton

When I vote this Tuesday it will be in a little church just up the road. They have a large assembly room that is perfect for the size of our community. Usually, before entering to vote, I hear many opinions as to whom to vote for. The topics range from who did what to who and who didn't. I'll probably be joining in with a comment or two of my own.

I'll make comments about Bill Clinton going to Tennessee to campaign for Ford and how fitting it was for one womanizer to come to the aid of another womanizer. However, I doubt that Ford has ever gripped the lip of his prey with his teeth while he had unwanted sex with her like a wild animal would in the jungle.

I'll probably make a comment or two about the irony in that the Democrats once wanted Kerry to be president, knowing that he would have brought our troops home where they could fight the terrorist (who would surly follow them) in Ney Jersey, Los Angles and Miami.

Then again, maybe I won't make any comments when I go to vote, because I'll have my Mom with me who is 92-years-old and confined to a wheel chair, paralyzed by a stroke. But, there's nothing wrong with my Mom's reasoning powers. She listens to the lies of the Democrat pundits on television and declares, "They won't win control of the House or Senate if I can help it." Then she commands me, "Get me to that church on time so I can vote." This is the message she wants to give to all conservatives.
